Welcome to the Global Research University Profiles
Welcome to participate in the online survey of the Global Research University Profiles (GRUP) conducted by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. The GRUP aims to develop a database on the facts and figures of around 2,200 research universities in the world.
In 2021, some 449 universities reported their data on students, academic staff and resources. The participating universities cover 50% of the Top 100 universities and 45% of other Top 500 universities on the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2021; therefore they formed a representative sample set to describe and reflect the characteristics of world leading research universities.
The year survey results will be combined with other performance indicators developed by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy for these 2200 research universities in order to produce much more comprehensive and customized comparisons of research universities at a global level.
